Comments: Our service for five years on the 1997 Pioneer Sesquicentennial Committee of the Church was a wonderful experience. I was the Executive Secretary of the Committee. Our children saw me jump on a horse and gallop off with the wagonmasters for the first time.
President Romney is a full professor at National University in La Jolla, CA. in the School of Engineering and Technology. He commutes regularly between San Diego, Phoenix and Utah with his adorable companion, Sister R.
Sister Romney and I served another mission in Germany in 2001 when I served as Executive Secretary to the Europe Central Area Presidency. Sister Romney served in the legal department in additon to processing missionary applications for the Area.
Sister Romney completed her law degree upon returning from Guatemala, is a registered Patent Attorney, has completed her course work on a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from BYU and is a Bio-chemistry Patent Litigation attorney with Beus Gilbert in Scottsdale, AZ working on a very important BYU biochemistry case. Most importantly she is a most wonderful companion, wife and mother to our eight children and grandmother to thirteen grandchildren...and surrogate mom to over four hundred of the most outstanding missionaries to ever serve the Lord. |
