After my return from Guatemala, I went back to BYU. I there met a wonderful girl from North Carolina. We were married in 1984 and moved to NC in 1986. I finished my education at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
I am a commercial lender with a local bank. I love being in North Carolina, though I sometimes feel removed from friends and family out west.
We have three children, a boy and two girls.
I think of Guatemala often and am grateful for the time that I spent there. As part of my mid-life crisis, I have threatened my wife that I would like to go back for a visit. She tells me that would be fine, but she will not be going. The amoebas and parasites don't appeal to her.
We'll see if I get back someday. I know that my language skills have deteriorated since my mission days.
I wish all my old friends and companions well.
