22 March 2007--Updated--I am in my 24th year working for BYU-Idaho (Use to be Ricks College) and 29th year with the Church (was 5 years with the Idaho Falls Temple out of College). I supervised the Grounds Department for 20 years and now take care of the Indoor Plant Program, Floral Design for Graduations and other University functions and do the Landscape Design work for the Physical Plant. The supervisory work was an experience but I really love what I am doing now. My wife Debbie (We met in Waipahu, while I served there) and I have 3 boys-Ben 23, Jud 11 and Moses 8. Ben lives here in town with Kaysi and our only grandchild, Alex. We discovered Jud is autistic and lives in a group home 30 miles away (we talk every day) and so that leaves Moses home with us. We love Rexburg and will soon have a completed Temple here. We will likely retire here. All are doing well but even after a year it has been hard on everyone with Jud away. Jud is 11 years old but really only 4 years mentally and so he has challenges. He's also over 5 ' tall and 170 pounds. He's our big-little guy. Heavenly Father has a purpose for everything--we're still trying to figure this one out. Debbie and I finally made it back to Hawaii, 3 years ago. Oahu had changed considerably in our 30 year abscence.
