| Comments: I've lived in southern California for the past 16 years. I have five boys. The oldest, Harrison was just called to the Honduras San Pedro Sula mission. He will enter the MTC on Dec 17, 2003. About three years ago I went back to Indonesia to give a couple of seminars on water. Was in Jakarta, Malang, Surabaya for the seminars and went to Bogor to visit Ibu Dumalang. My wife Kathy went back with me. It was quite a shock to her, but I couldn't believe how much things have improved. Still impoverished, but much more modern. A lot of construction in Jakarta. The Hotel Mandarin was lost among the high-rise buildings. CNN and MTV Asia have left their mark. A lot of people speak English. The bell boy and the hotel only wanted to talk about WWF and Stone Cold. It was short but fun, only 10 days. I would have liked to stay longer. e-mail me if you want to know more. Bob Harding | |
