Comments: (My companions were also: Sisters Markham, McArthur, Lee, Florence, Ilkenhans, Ternsten, and Covington!! You all should register so we can keep in touch!!) Well, some of you may know, 13 years ago, I married my Sweetheart Stephen Smyth of Londonderry Northern Ireland! At the time, he was living in California- close to my hometown. We have four beautiful children, two boys and two girls (ages 11, 9, 6, and 7 months). We lived in Utah for our entire married life up until now. We are at the moment having an adventure, and we live in Northern Ireland!! We love it. We have been here 2 months. We are planning to stay at least a year or so. So, if any of you are coming for the reunion, we would love to see you!! We live in Eglinton, a village close to Londonderry. Our children are going to Eglinton primary school, and it has been a great experience for them. We go to the L'derry branch, and enjoy rubbing shoulders with those still-stalwart Saints. Stephen is the branch mission leader, and I am in the R.S presidency, so we are keeping busy! We hope to soon become a ward. I have such wonderful memories of being a missionary here and of all my companions and the people we met and taught. We will never know who we affected as a missionary, but I know it is much more than we realize!! I am beginning to understand that now. You wouldn't believe the people who are still active!! All those little children are grown up now!! I feel so blessed to have been able to serve in this wonderful country. It is like belonging to a big (Irish) family. They are our eternal friends!! I love Ireland, so I do! Cheerio! I would love to hear from any of my old companions or any of you great Elders!! Stacey Berry Smyth | |
