Dublin Reunion | 29 Sep 2005 |
This message was sent to the Dublin Stake news letter. Dear Ireland Dublin Mission members, Thank you for all you did at the Missionary Reunion last month. You did a grate job taking care of us. We need to send a special thanks to the Relief Society and all those who worked so hard to set everything up, it was wonderful. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. As for the reunion, it’s hard to put the experience to words. We all had such a great time, it excided our greatest expectations. You made us feel so welcome. We can not thank you enough for the love we felt from you. We were so impressed by the growth of the Church and by the strength of the members and by the number of you who have made it through the hard times and are still doing the Lords work. Many missionaries have gone home feeling that there time in Ireland was spent in vane, but all of us who attended came away with the knowledge that that is not the case. Thank you for that. Several less-active members were contacted; some who's names are not on the records of the church at this time but were still happy to see the former missionaries who came calling. Most expressed that they still have a testimony of the gospel. We have continued to contact many other members and missionaries since we have come home. A Book of Mormon is being sent to a member who came to Stake conference and accepted the challenge to read the book of Mormon by the end of the year. She has not been to church in 20 years (and can’t find her copy). It was one of the greatest experiences we have ever had. With great love, The IDM Reunion Committee.
