After I got home in 2001 I went to Salt Lake Community College where I had a lot of fun and was able to get involved in student government. I stayed there longer than I should have, finally getting my degree in 2004. I married my wife, Cami, in October of that same year. We met in a singles branch (if you can believe that).
I started going to the University of Utah The following spring, changing my field of study from Civil Engineering to Architecture to Math and English to Marketing and even briefly to a minor in Italian. I got flustered enough to take a break from the University and haven't had the guts to return yet.
I took a marketing job with a company called Compliance Information Systems and have been there for 18 months. They've sent me back to the community college to refine my design skills, and now I do the company's design work too. Who would have thought?
Anywho, Cami graduated in interior design and she's an artist (www.camibay.com). We own a condo in Murray, Utah (just outside Salt Lake) that Cam likes to redecorate a couple of times a week.
I miss Scopa, Briscola, pandoro, Anziano Nelson's Nelly Panelle, Kinder Eggs, il mare and of course L'agnello di Dio. |
