I had a chance to go back to Hokkaido and visit in August 2004. It was great to brush the dust of my Japanese and to spend 10 days with friends. The most exciting part was to see that the gospel is blessing the lives of those that accepted it years ago, and still live it now. Missions, Temple Marriage, serving in the church as a Bishop, and one Shimai married to a Bishop are all blessings 20+ years in the making. While snow, beauty of Hokkaido, and the food are all fond memories, these friends are the most cherished. |
