Comments:
Hey everyone out there, here is what happened after the mission.

I got home to Brisbane Australia and with-in 1 month I got a job as a Japanese Tour Guide up in Cairns where the rain forest meets the Great Barrier Reef. It was a lot of fun and I was there for 9 months.
I then decided to move down to the Sunshine Coast, which is One hour north of Brisbane, where I went surfing for 6 months. After a while I had had enough of that and so I went snowboarding instead. I lived in the Australian Alps on a mountain called Mt Buller down in Victoria for about another 6 months.
I then moved back to Brisbane and got a job in the city for a while before landing a real job as a photographer (I studied photography at university before my mission), with a big company where I learnt all about digital photography.
I was with this company for 7 years before they closed their doors and made my position redundant. This was a very scary time as I lost my job one week after our second child was born. But the Lord was watching over us and we were blessed, because I was able to start my own business and have been operating it quite successfully for the past year (take a look at the website).
I met my wife Elizabeth on a Young Adult Convention in Sydney at the end of 1997, but it wasn’t until early 1999 that we started dating. With-in 5 months we were married in the Sydney Australia Temple on the 18th September 1999. We now have 2 children and a mortgage to take care of. Our Eldest is Xander who is 2 and a half and our youngest is Vincent who is 11 months old.
Well there you have it, the Rode Family in a nut shell!
I hope your are all doing well, and as I used to say on the mission,

Merry Christmas!!
