Harrison Price "Ted" Harrison Theodore (Ted) Price was called home by his Father in Heaven on April 19, 2010 at his home in Murray, Utah surrounded by his loving family. Ted, the oldest of four boys, was born June 3rd, 1925 to Laura Bucklin and Henry Price in Atlanta, Idaho. At the age of nine, Ted's father was killed in a mining accident in Merced, California, and Laura moved with her sons to Salt Lake City, Utah. When World War II broke out, Ted joined the Marine Corps at the age of 17 and fought bravely on Tarawa, Saipan, and then on Tinian where, though severely burned in an explosion, he was blessed with a miraculous recovery. After the war, Ted returned to Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah, and in its 1947 centennial year was crowned Mr. Utah. Ted was the first of five missionaries called to the newly opened LDS mission in Japan where he served for four years. Upon his release, he met his long-time sweetheart Ramona Calvert in Hawaii, where they were married in the Temple for time and eternity on February 2nd, 1951. In 1976, Ted retired from his position as the District Director for the Immigration and Naturalization Service covering all of Asia in order to answer the call to serve as the Tokyo Japan Mission President. Over the years, he and Ramona served four more missions; as Mission President of the Japanese Missionary Training Center in Tokyo, in the Tokyo, Japan and Manila, Philippines Temples, and as missionaries to New Zealand. Between missions, he served as Bishop of the Murray 23rd Ward. Ted is survived by his wife, Ramona Price; his five children: Mark Price, Deborah Cloward (Jerry), Stephen Price (Laura), Matt Price and Angela Aggeler (Brian); 21 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two brothers: Oliver Price (Josie) and Ivan Lines (Nancy); and many other extended family, friends, and associates whose lives he has touched and influenced in incalculable ways. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Murray 23rd Ward, 755 E Three Fountains Dr., Murray Utah. A viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Caregiver Support Network Home Health & Hospice services, 310 E. 4500 South, Suite 200, Murray, Utah, 84107. The Price family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the wonderful people at the Caregiver Support Network Home Health & Hospice, and to the doctors and staff of the Utah Veteran's Administration Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion toward our beloved father and his family.

Pres. Price, 50, who currently resides in Hong Kong, is retiring as district director of the U.S. Department of Justice Immigration and Naturalization Service in the Far East. He was born June 3, 1925, in Atlanta, Idaho, a son of Henry H. and Lara Bucklin Price. He is a convert to the Church and was baptized June 1933, in Merced, Calif. He married Ramona Calvert Feb. 2, 1951, in the Hawaii Temple and they have five children. His past positions include district missionary, bishop's counselor, and mission president's counselor. Sister Price was born in Greenville, Utah, to Arthur O. and Emma Williams Calvert. A registered nurse, she has served as a district missionary, Relief Society president's counselor and Primary president.
