Presidents: John Richard Hill (2000 - 2003) | David Kent Harmon (2003 - 2006) | Served: 2001 - 2003 | Areas Served: Antananarivo-Mission Office Couple | Your Occupation: Retired | Spouse: Joyce | Comments: We enjoy your news and pictures so we thought we would update our profile. Africa seems to keep tugging at us. Many of you know that we served a 2 year mission in Ivory Coast from 1997-1999 before Madagascar 2001-2003. Then in 2004 we started serving short term missions with Humanitarian Services. We go into a country for 3 months to do Public Relations and Social Mobilization for measles vaccination campaigns. Our first assignment was Ivory Coast in 2004. We went over in October but because of the "war" were evacuted to Ghana in November with the single Elders. The campaign was postponed to 2005 so we went back then and finished the job. Later in 2005, we also went to Benin and did the Campaign there. In 2006, we did Namibia. This year we head to Togo in September for their campaign. It has been quite a ride. We are doing well and love serving the Lord. The picture is taken in front of the Accra Ghana Temple. |

LDS QUOTE: |
"Wouldnt this be a good time for a little self-evaluation to determine if we still have the same relationship with our Father in Heaven that we enjoyed in the mission field? If the world has diverted us from the practice of prayer, we then have lost a great spiritual power. Maybe it is time that we rekindle our missionary spirit through more frequent, consistent, and mighty prayer."
