Comments:
Every day of my life I think about my experiences in Madagascar and Reunion. I would not trade them for anything in this world, and the lessons I've learned have shaped the choices I've made since. I came home and was married to Heather a year later. We were married in the St. Louis temple. Heather and I graduated from Butler University in 2002 and shortly thereafter were blessed with a little girl. I am now working on a masters in opera at BYU and will be going to the U. of Kentucky for a doctorate in the fall. Since returning from a mission, I have been able to be a primary teacher, ward organist, seminary teacher, and Elders Quorum President. I love the Gospel and am so grateful for the priviledge of serving a mission. The Lord has blessed myself and my family in uncountable ways and I know that some of those blessing have come from being a missionary in Madagascar. We hope to go back and visit when we can.

LDS QUOTE:
"Wouldn’t this be a good time for a little self-evaluation to determine if we still have the same relationship with our Father in Heaven that we enjoyed in the mission field? If the world has diverted us from the practice of prayer, we then have lost a great spiritual power. Maybe it is time that we rekindle our missionary spirit through more frequent, consistent, and mighty prayer."
- Elder L. Tom Perry
Ensign, Nov. 2001
