Married 42years. 4 children - all served missions (3 in South America). All bilingual, daughter tri-lingual (went to Brazil). All college graduates. I taught Spanish at the local high school. My wife taught 1st grade in Spanish to newcomers from mostly Mexico.
We have returned 10-12 times to Mexico to visit my in-laws. It is great to see Stakes where there were branches, and the temple is beautiful. It is nice to go to meetings and see fathers who served missions, children who have grown up in the church, and High Priests and Elders each meeting in their own quorums. The progress has been pleasing to watch. After we retired we served a Mission to Guatemala Retalhuleu for 18 months. Quite different than Mexico. |
