After my mission, with my custom Idaho license plate in place: “YOKWE”, I was off to Ricks College. I transferred to Idaho State University and met my future wife. We were sealed SLC Temple in 1996. In 2000 I returned to Majuro with my wife on a humanitarian mission with a dental group. At ISU, Biology lead me into Medicine and we found our little family breaking out of our comfort zone to live 2 years in Missouri, 2 in Michigan and now 5 in New York. While in Missouri, we lived in the Nauvoo, Illinois Stake and were blessed to be involved in the cleaning, dedication and open house of the newly constructed Nauvoo temple. I am currently finishing up my Orthopedic Surgery Residency in New York. We are blessed to have a new temple nearby in the city. We have 4 kids: Porter (2000), Carter (02), Conner (06) and Brooklyn (08). In a few months we will be moving to Lake Tahoe. We will be happy to be back in the West. |
