NO WATCHES OR WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT.
AT 100 AM CHST...1500Z...THE CENTER OF SUPER TYPHOON MELOR WAS NEAR
LATITUDE 17.8 DEGREES NORTH AND LONGITUDE 138.6 DEGREES EAST.
THIS IS ABOUT 505 MILES WEST-NORTHWEST OF SAIPAN...TINIAN...ROTA AND
GUAM...AND 470 MILES WEST OF AGRIHAN.
SUPER TYPHOON MELOR IS MOVING WEST-NORTHWEST AT 18 MPH. A GRADUAL
TURN TO THE NORTHWEST WITH LITTLE CHANGE IN FORWARD SPEED IS
EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE 160 MPH. SUPER TYPHOON MELOR WILL SLOWLY
WEAKEN DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.
TYPHOON FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 80 MILES FROM THE CENTER
WITHIN THE NORTH SEMICIRCLE AND UP TO 70 MILES FROM THE CENTER IN
THE SOUTH SEMICIRCLE. TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD
UP TO 155 MILES FROM THE CENTER WITHIN THE NORTH SEMICIRCLE AND 145
MILES WITHIN THE SOUTH SEMICIRCLE.
