In 1997, I graduated with my BA in Film, emphasis Screenwriting, from BYU.
Moving to Buena Park, CA, and Moreno Valley, CA, I devoted my time to my family, writing, and trying to conquer the mysterious kingdom known as Hollywood.
Things were going as well as they could be expected to for a little unknown such as myself; I had agents, wrote columns for the Moviebytes.com website, and began tentative collaborations with people more experienced than myself. By night, I studied Network Engineering, so as to be sure and have a skill that allowed me and my family to eat.
As you can imagine, that was the career that panned out first. It was also the career that crashed and burned first.
Life rolled on, and I went back to writing scripts at home. I’ve been lucky enough to write for Halestorm and the MTC but so far no big fat Hollywood contracts. Alas.
Personal upheavals and updates continued to come, as life moved in the Lord's way. I graduated with my Master's in Film and TV in May 2008, and was married again in October. I have much to thank the Lord for. |
