President Mellor died on April 3, 1992 after a strong 5 year battle with prostate cancer. He remained active and vibrant to the last month of his life. He is buried in the Lehi, Utah City Cemetery.Sister Mellor returned from a wonderful mission to Bangkok, Thailand in December 1998. After her return she purchased and moved into a townhome in Farmington, Utah, near one of her children. She is doing well and keeping busy. In fact, in the summer of 1999 she decided to go to work at ZCMI in Layton, Utah to keep busy! One thing that might be of interest to the missionaries who served with us is about our son John who went with us when he was 16 years old. He spent a great deal of time with the Elders and they were SO good to him. He has been with a company named Viewpoint for ten years and is now moving to New York to go with another company. He is in the process of selling his home and all the things in it. He has been so much help to me since his Father passed away and I will really miss him but I am also thrilled for this opportunity for him. He would like to send his best wishes to all the missionaries who remember him. |
