I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to serve a mission and share our wonderful gospel with those seeking the truth. I'm so thankful for the gift of the Holy Ghost which provides comfort and inspiration when needed. How thankful I am for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and for the trials I've experienced in my life that have polished off those rough edges and have taught me how important it is to follow the footsteps of our Lord.
In 1998, our two years-old daughter passed away via a heart virus that she contracted just one week prior. With no notice of this, we were absolutely devastated and it was one of the most heartwrenching trials in my entire life. It was then, during the sorrow and pain that I felt the most comfort and support from my Heavenly Father. I was amazed that at such a vulnerable time that I felt the powers of Heaven buoy me up. My testimony grew tenfold.
I'm thankful for my Heavenly Father and his deep love for me. I pray that all of us won't soon forget how powerful our testimonies are as we face the trials of life. Here's to another 80 years, give or take.
