What a tremendous pleasure it was to see so many familiar names from the great Nevada Las Vegas Mission. Had it not been for the examples of missionaries whom I was lucky enough to serve with like Elders Ansted, Hogan, Hatton, Wardell, Martinez, Muir, Heikes, Mackliet, Watts, and Hoskins, I doubt my life after my mission would have been as fruitful.
After the mission I had the opportunity to work with Elders Ansted, Bauserman, Hatton and Adkins at the MTC while attending BYU. Elder Brad Holyoak and I (who I also met at BYU) went on to USU where we both received a Masters Degree in HR Administration.
I met my wife Carrie (Dunn) at the MTC where she taught Spanish to Welfare Sisters. We have two daughters: Rachel, who is currently serving in the CA San Bernardino Mission, and Elizabeth, who is a sophomore at BYU-I.
We have lived in the metro Atlanta area for the past 11 years and have loved every minute of it. Over the years I've served in many capacities. I am currently in the bishopric.
Every good thing that has happened or will ever happen in my life, I owe to the missionaries of the Nevada Las Vegas Mission and to President and Sister Jardine. As Elder Ansted wrote, I dearly miss President Jardine and I think of him often. |
