Hancock | Troy Douglas Larson | Clay Murdoch | Your Occupation: Manager of Business Applications | Spouse: Laurel | Comments: It is great to review so many familiar names after all of these years. Unfortunately, our lives have been such that very seldom have I run into any one from the mission field. After Provo, we moved several times: Louisa, KY - Gillette, WY - Oak Hill, WV - Raceland, KY - Abingdon, VA - Russell, KY - Abingdon, VA. We have now been in Abingdon for about five years and hoping to stay awhile. I am the Manager of Business Applications for a public coal company, Alpha Natural Resources.
Laurel and I have six children - the first four are girls and the last two are boys. Our oldest turns 20 this month (August 07) and our youngest will be baptized in September.
I have been a Young Men President 5 times (my wife would argue that my maturity has not advanced past this age group), early-morning Seminary Teacher twice, in a Bishopric, and a short stint as Bishop.
Our family just returned from being part of the cast of the Hill Cumorah Pageant; what an amazing experience. All six kids voted it the "best vacation ever." I knew it was all worth while when after a few performances, my seven years-old son said, "Dad, the people in Jerusalem should have listened to Lehi. He was telling the truth." My ten years-old son describe it as "the best two weeks of my life." I recommend it to anyone who can swing the challenging schedule. |
