Comments:
My wife, Patti, and I have four adopted children, two girls who are five and four adopted through LDS family services. We now have two boys, 7 and 3 and they were adopted through the state. They are amazing and growing so fast. I can remember on my mission being exposed to two conferences where we discussed LDS Social Services; I never thought we would be using them to have our children.

My wife and I both serve faithfully in the church and love our ward that we have been in for the 13 years we have been married. We are in our seventh years as special eduation teachers at Arbor View HS, a newer high school in town; it is in the Elkhorn Springs and Tule Springs stake boundaries. I coach basketball at a middle school nearby, and run a small carpet-cleaning company on the side.

The church is still true. I have had some great callings in the ward we live in. I have always taken President McKee's advice and gone to every meeting I can and learn something from each, we have great leaders in our ward and stake and I try to take something from all of them each time we meet.

Our experience with adoption has increased our knowledge of our Heavenly Father's plan, and our testimony of tithing and fast offerings has increased greatly because of this. We have been on two church history trips. One official and the other we drove on our own to spend more time in these places. We were blessed to traveled to many places during our years without children. We have been to New York and Washington DC twice.
