Serving among the Hopi and Navajo people of Arizona opened up a whole new world to me. I fell in love with the art, history, and culture of the Southwest, and subsequently returned to BYU to finish my degree in History with a Minor in Native American Studies. One thing led to another, and my plans to continue in Law School were diverted by the development of an online gallery.
My wife is Cherokee from North Carolina, & she brought a beautiful little 2 year old daughter into our relationship. Her daughter is half-Navajo, so we have quite the multi-cultural family. To top it all off, I was offered a job here in Keams Canyon, back on the Hopi Reservation, collaborating with Ron McGee (proprietor at Keams Canyon Trading Post). The future looks bright, and each day is an adventure. I'm pretty thankful to be back in a place I love.
