Comments:
I loved my mission and I love my mission president and his wife! My life wouldn't be the same without their influence and my mission experiences. Upon returning home to Seattle, I did one more opera, Tosca, for Seattle Opera before changing careers. Then I got my Master's in Teaching in the Seattle area, then moved to Portland on a prompting. I subsequently met and married my wonderful husband, Keith Stokes, in 2003. We were married by President Croft in my aunt's backyard in Lake Oswego, OR, and he and Julia were also present for our sealing in the Portland Temple in 2006. Our little girl, Faith, was born in 2004. I have four stepchildren, Genavee, Ben, Jared and Justin, who are 22, 19, 16 and 13, respectively. Gena was married in 2008 and lives in Washington, D.C., where she and hubby are enrolled in grad school. Ben is a student at OSU, Jared is in high school, Justin is in middle school and Faith starts kindergarten tomorrow. I am serving in Young Women's, Keith serves in Scouts, and we are happy with our lives. I celebrate my 40th birthday in less than a week, and I remember with fondness my 30th birthday in the mission field. Even with all its ups and downs, life just gets better the older I get! I'd love to hear from any of my old mission friends and comps! Long live NYS mission fearlessness!
