Oakley — Eulene Barrett Adams, a long time resident of Oakley, passed away Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, at her home.
Eulene was born at Logan, Utah, on April 11, 1935, the daughter of Ivan J and Minnie Rogers Barrett.
Eulene attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where she received a bachelors degree in Home Economics. She also attended Idaho State University where she received a teaching certificate. Eulene served an L.D.S. mission in Japan where she met her future husband.
She married John Reed Adams on August 28, 1961, in the Salt Lake City L.D.S. Temple. They returned to Oakley where they farmed and raised their family. Eulene was the ultimate example of a devoted and dedicated mother to, Taunya Bailess, Terrilee Rasmussen, Gregory John, Jonathan Barrett, Stephen Ross and Jason Samuel Adams.
Eulene was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Stake Relief Society Presidency, Primary Presidency, and various teaching positions. She was also active in community projects and the P.T.A.
Her favorite past times were sewing, embroidery, gardening and reading.
Eulene, a loving and adoring mother, is survived by her six children; four sisters; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Reed Adams.
Eulene lived and died in Oakley, Idaho on Oct.16, 2006. Her husband John died May 27, 2002. Delray Blau
