I work with Noel Eniss at Utah Prison. My wife and I returned 12-31-03 from a mission to the Tokyo South Mission. Office couple for Pres K. Hart Bullock and Kenji Suzuki in the Tokyo South Mission. Our 2nd mission was to the Tokyo North, under Pres Henry Eyring.
David M. Bodily 1933 ~ 2008 passed away on April 20, 2008, after a courageous struggle with brain cancer. Born Dec 16, 1933 to L.D. and Norma Bodily. He was raised on the family farm in Lewiston, Utah. Married BethAlene Judy on August 28, 1958, in the I F Temple. Raised 4 children and had 21 g'children. David served three LDS Church missions to Japan. At 19 in the NFEM. His love of Japan never diminished and he later served two missions with his wife in the Tokyo South and Tokyo North Missions. He graduated from BYU with a bachelor's and master's degree. He obtained his PhD in chemistry from Cornell University and post doctorate research at Northwestern U. Served 30 years as a professor at U of U. Chaired the Fuels Engineering and Chemical Engineering Departments and Assoc Dean of College of Mines/Earth Sciences. He spent sabbaticals in Japan and Australia. For 7 years, he was a religious volunteer at the Utah State Prison providing hope to all he met. In his final Church calling, he and his wife served as nursery leaders. Survived by his wife, children, Robert (Stephanie), Becky (Roger deceased) Buehner, Tim (Susan), Chris (Holly). Funeral services Thurs, April 24th, at the Olympus 1st Ward chapel at 4100 Camille Drive (2480 E). Viewings Wed, April 23rd, from 6-8 p.m. at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and Thurs from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.holbrookmortuary.com
