Comments:
After I came home from my mission I went to school for one semister before I was drafted into the army.I spent about 15 months in France and was glad to leave that country. The people there were not the least bit freindly. I married Mary Ellen Forbes May 6, 1966. We were married in the SLC Temple by Elder Gordon B Hinkley. We had three sons and a daughter. All four of our children served honorable missions. John Alfred served in the Washington D. C. North Mission, Blaine Forbes served in the Frankfort Germany, DeEllen served in the Seoul West Korea Mission, and Gordon B served in the Pheonix Arizona Mission. Mary died October 2 1990 from breast cancer.
I worked in warehousing at Defense Depot Ogden Utah from May 1966 til July 1996. I retired & am still woking at odd jobs where and when I can to supplement my income. I do not have any grand children as none of my children are married.

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
