Comments:
I returned from my mission in the spring of 1966. I entered Utah State University, again, where I met my wife, Anita Kay Stettler. We were married in the Logan Temple on May 19, 1967. A year later, I was drafted into the US Army and served in the 82nd Airborne Infantry Division in Viet Nam. Upon completion of my military duties, Anita and I with our first child, Kristen, moved to Los Angeles where I completed my degree in mortuary science. We returned to Utah where in 1973, I established Cranney Mortuary in Logan, and was able to retire upon the sale of the mortuary in the autumn of 1999. I am still involved in the profession. Church wise, I have served in several positions to include Bishop, Stake Presidency Counselor. Best assignment, Home Teacher.

I like to fly fish, hunt, go RVing, do family history and church assignments as well as anything else my wife requests me to do. We have six children and fourteen grandchildren. We now live in South Jordan (Daybreak), Utah. Semi-retired, working in memorial and final expense planning.

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
