Clan Henderson started in 1537 in the hills of Scotland. Sometime prior to 1630, at least part of the family moved to Northern Ireland, where they became rather prominent Protestant tradesmen. When Ireland went through its first migration in 1830, the Robert Henderson family sent their oldest son, Robert, to America to clear the way for the rest of the family. They eventually settled north of Pittsburg.
Through moves and marriage, part of the family ended up in Los Angeles. That’s where I was born, raised and educated through high school.
In 1967 we created the next generation of Clan Henderson when I married Marlene and we decided to have a family. From that beginning came six children, all brilliant, beautiful and successful.
Education
Church College of Hawaii, Laie, Hawaii: 1959 -- 1961. Studied pre-med, economics and international relations. Suspended college studies to serve as a missionary in Japan 1962 – 1965.
Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah: Bachelor of Arts degree with dual major in Political Science and Economics (1967); active in many school activities. (President of the flying club; owner and operator of a dance band). Worked my way through school. Language was Japanese.
Arizona State University College of Law — Charter Class (1970); At the time this excellent school conducted an extended program allowing students to “specialize” during the third year. I took every tax and business planning class offered.
