Comments:
My daughter forwarded me an email from you. I served in Japan from 63-66. We now live just outside of Atlanta moving here from Kildeer, Illinois in 1998. I was sad to see Elder Martinez had passed away. I hadn't had contact with him since the mission field, but had tried to locate him a couple of times. Where had he settled? I am a Ph.D. chemist who spent almost 40 years in the pharmaceutical industry. For the last 14 years I have been the CEO of one or more biotechonology companies. I have been married to Susan Ward for the past 46 years. I am a sealer in the Atlanta Georgia temple and teach gospel doctrine.
I have periodic contact with Dick Young's wife. Dick and I were quite close and he was a terrible loss.
Bro. Summers, My wife and I are serving an eighteen month mission in Kagoshima, Japan. We have been here since March of last year, and will return in early September.
We do have a cell phone here in Japan, 090-2966-7188.

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
