Joined Congressional Research Service on Capitol Hill in 1980. Now head the Asia Section. Japan Foundation Fellowship for dissertation research in 1972-3. Fulbright Research Fellowship to Japan in 1991-2. On the passing of his companion 9-08: I remember with fondness the many days I spent as Elder Boyd's companion. In addition to working out of the Mission Home and preparing the new lesson plan for publication, we traveled to several branches in the mission and saw the good work that many of you were doing. Kent always had a smile and a good word for everyone. We will miss him dearly.
