Comments:
I joined the Church while at the University of Florida and after four years went to the life enriching/changing NFEM. It can only be said that the wonderful Elders and Sisters were the great testimony builders in my life. Upon returning to the U.S. I spent two years in the Army (Viet Nam era), married a wonderful Texas girl and then back to Florida to finish a Bachelor of Architecture. I started an urban design firm rejuevenating downtowns; then Director of Economic Dev for St Louis County; dramatic career change to co-founder of a hazardous waste remediation company which I sold to Waste Management; worked/lived for WMI in the Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand for nine years; then back to the U.S. in Kansas and then moved to Utah in 2000 working in software and started a company recovering oil and water associated with natural gas production. Now doing consulting for company start-ups and development. We have six kids (both coasts) and fifteen grandkids. We have enjoyed our Church callings around the world and are now in an MTC Branch presidency with plans to retire in a couple years to serve a senior mission(s).

Sep28,2013 We just received our Senior Couple mission call to serve for eighteen months in the Japan Kobe Mission. We go to the MTC on November 18 for one week and then to Japan. Our primary responsibility will be as Member and Leader Support (MLS) missionaries.
Lynne and I are very excited!!! We will miss serving at the Provo MTC but after nearly five years there, it is time to practice what we have been preaching.

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
