Comments:
Since I had spent 2 1/2 years in Japan as a teenager when my father was in the military, I was thrilled to be called to the NFEM. I was privileged to serve the first year with Pres. D. Andersen and the 2nd year with Pres. A Y. Komatsu. I graduated from BYU in Nursing in 1963 and worked as a nurse at the LDS Hospital and 3 years at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo.
Married Ray Eugene Gammon 3-69. Gene was an attorney and continued until retired in 2000. My most important work in life is as a wife and mother. We have been blessed with 7 children. The first 3 are BYU grads, married and fortunately still live in Utah Co. They have given us a total of 9 g'children. 5 of our children have served missions so far only 1 in Japan. Gene and I have been active involved since moving to our present home in 1971. Gene served in bprics, on high councils and as 1st and 2nd counselor in the Edgemont South stake pres'cy. I taught in Primary and Young Women and been a Primary Pres.

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
