My father Clarence Katwyk (Katwijk) and our family served in Japan from April 1962 to April 1966 as building missionaries. My father built the Tokyo North, Yokohama and portions of several other buildings. If you get Gordon B. Hinckley's 1st biography "Shoulder for the Lord" you will see his picture with Elder Hinckley listed as "building missionary at dedication of Tokyo chapel." He is still alive, living in Mount Vernon, WA. I do not know if you list the building missionaries as alumni, but he had several proselyting Elders serve with him as interpreters/building missionaries. We also adopted my sister there from Mrs. Miki Sawada, founder and director of the Elizabeth Sanders Home in Oiso, Japan. I'm sure there are a few missionaries from that time that may still remember my Dad.

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
