Professor of Japanese and dean of the College of Humanities at BYU. Born in Compton, Calif., to Easton Mathews and Harrietta Robinson Gessel. Married Elizabeth Darley, three children.
A ward organist and institute instructor, Sister Gessel is a former stake and ward Relief Society president, and Relief Society teacher. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Roy M and Kathleen Latham Darley. |
