| I was transferred to Gresham OR to work with Elder Andrejick. As we were talking I asked him if he had ever tracted out and baptised a non-member. He said, NO! The following day I woke up with much excitement. We knelt in Prayer and I asked my Heavenly Father to bless us someone to teach and to baptize. When we arose from prayer, I knew exactly where we should go. It was in the middle of the summer, very hot and dry heat. We tracted all day. Elder Andrejick commented, "We have a dinner appointment tonight." I kept saying to him, just a few more doors. I said in my heart, Lord, please I want my companion to experience what I had experienced all through my mission. As we started down a new street I felt such love for my Savior. The next door we knocked on was the Grace home. They let us in and were very curious to know more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. To make a long story short we baptized this family. When we left their house, I was full of excitement and graditude for a loving Heavenly Father to allow us to find this family and to teach them everything we knew about our Savior. As my companion and I talked, I could see his joy and excitement. I was humbled to know my Father heard my prayer. :-) |
