Presidents: Lowell R. Tingey (1989 - 1992) | Served: 1990 - 1991 | Areas Served: Brockway, Butler, Pennsylvania | Companions: Debbie Callicotte | Eileen (Lee) Lloyd (Warner) | Lisa Mckell (Poling) | Sandy Plummer (Wanlass) | Your Occupation: I pay the bills by working at the Hampton Inn in Vicksburg, otherwise I would be a starving artist. | Comments: Here is my autobiography in poetic form:
Phases of the Moon
Cold and barren
as the moon
I go round
in circles-
Tracing and retracing
an endless path
Chained by gravity
to the earth.
No light burns
within
It originates
from without-
Catching and casting
echoing the sun;
The "moonlight"--
reflected sunlight.
My joy and happiness,
purpose,
Determination and direction,
my dreams-
Waxing and Waning,
going through phases
Almost predictable
in their unpredictability.
For I know when I see
a full moon,
It will be followed by
a new moon-
Cycling continuously
cycling
At times completely eclipsing
the light of the sun.
Would that I could hold
the brightness
Of a full moon,
bask in its light-
Shining and reflecting
continuously
Never losing sight
of the Son.
For those of you who would prefer a little bit more detail in prose:
I have a BSE in Elementary Education. I taught for six years in Mississippi. There is a very long story behind why I am not teaching now and multiple reasons. But, I'll sum it up for you in 9 words: Life is what happens when you had other plans.
I teach primary: 8-11 year old girls, and I am the Faith in God for Girls activity leader. I love my girls.
I do not have any "children" of my own. I have three rabbits; they own me. |
