I am very sad to tell you that my husband, Lyle Leavitt, who served 1975-1977 died on May 1, 2003 at the age of 49. He had been healthy until he had a brain aneurysm on April 27, 2003. He was in a coma from April 28 until May 1.
He was able to be an organ donor, something that was very important to him.
His last of many legacies to us are these: - hug your family and tell them you love them every day,
- keep in touch with family and friends who are not near
- be an organ donor.
There is a terrific need and very
few donors.
His patriarchal blessing said he "would serve a mission with the living and WITH the dead." We always thought we would serve a family history mission to bring that to pass but now I guess he truly is serving with the dead.
