Stories: Missionaries are an answer to manys' Prayers

| It was Sunday June 3rd, I had just come home from a Church I had attended for the second time, on my quest to find God and the RIGHT church (kinda like Joseph Smith when he was 14, but I am 33). I wanted God in my life. I knew that the church I was attending was not for me as the name of it was "African Apolistic" and I am not African... so after church, sitting on my front porch I prayed with my all... " Please God I am trying to find you, I cannot know where to go, please lead me, direct me show me where to find you" I then raised my head, and opened my eyes to face the cold angry world... behold, around the corner came two young men... who I later came to know as Elder Haynie and Elder Hood (in erie, pa). They approached me, and not knowing at the time that this was the answer to MY PRAYER, i sent them off accepting an appointment time the following Wednesday for them to talk to me and my family a bit. Not knowing it at that moment, but the following Wednesday started the first day of something beautiful for me and my children. At the time I was a lost child of God, I was into things that were not right for me, the music i was listening to kept me angry, I now listen to Gospel and Praise and Worship music, I was a heavy smoker (I have since quit) I was into drugs (I have stepped away from that). The things that they taught me encouraged amazing changes in my life. I will no longer question who I am, for I AM a Child of God! I love and respect to the fullest that we have Missionaries bringing the Gospel to all whom accept it. I know this is the TRUE Church, I know Jesus was sacraficed for me, I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet sent from Our Heavenly Father and I thank God for him! I am blessed and Our Heavenly Father LOVES ME! I say ALL of this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. |
