It's been almost 10 years since we returned from our missions. I hope that everyone still reads the scriptures and prays daily.
Some of my companions that aren't registered on this website yet were: Elder Kerr, Elder Evans, Elder Jose, Elder McCombs, and Elder Rule for a brief time.
After returning home I graduated from BYU and passed my professional exam for civil engineering. I'm a bridge engineer for the State of California. I've designed and constructed several bridges in the bay area including the Benicia Martinez Bridge, the Carquinez Bridge, and the Bay Bridge. It has been an incredible journey.
My wife, Melanie, and I will celebrate our 7th anniversary this November 2008. She has been my best friend and companion. She continues to love me in spite of my weaknesses. She grows more beautiful each day. She works for a local architecture firm in Davis, CA. After we were married she left BYU to finish her degree at UCDavis where she graduated with High Honors in Architectural Design. I'm very proud of her accomplishments.
Over the years we've struggled with having children of our own, but we are now pursuing adoption. We hope someday to serve a mission when we are older. Perhaps after we retire.
It was an honor to serve with you in the Philippines Bacolod Mission. |
