I served in the Philippines Ilagan Mission from December 2001-2003. I am currently studying full-time at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. My areas included "Luna, Isabela", "Dupax, Nueva Vizcaya", "Buguey, Cagayan", "Aurora, Isabela", and "Echague, Isabela". Serving in the Philippines Ilagan Mission was a wonderful experience I would not change for the world. I grew to love, appreciate, and understand the Filipino people. I fully believe the secret to success as a missionary in ANY part of the world is to love their FOOD and their CULTURE. You can't compare either to the close-minded American point of view. Not everything we know in America is right. Not everything you learn in the Philippines is wrong. It is just a different way and different style of life. My interests of study in college are currently International Business and/or International Relations, particularly in the Philippines.
