Hi, I am not sure if this is the place to post for help but I am doing a presentation for my college on the Phillipine mudslide. I am having trouble finding current information on the progress of this incident. I wanted to find current death toll or if anyone knows of good sites where they talk about how progress is currently. Thank you. -Jess jennisea@yahoo.com |

I wonder if there is any kind of Reunion for RMs who served under Pres. Mina - maybe we could think of one ...since he couldnt be here. |

Hello,
My hometown is Baybay, Leyte. My heart goes to the people who were affected by this tragedy. I believe my late father, Antonio V. Samson, had travelled in that area while serving as District President in mid 90's and he knew a lot of folks from that area.
Today, I met with the officers of Filipino-American Society here in middle Tennessee, it is a non-profit organization. I believe they're in the process of sending donations to the victims. The reason for the meeting is to get their approval with the help of my husband who serves as one of the Board of Directors (for Legal affairs) to prioritize the members of our church or their relatives who were affected by the recent events. It is the desire of my heart that the members or their relatives will benefit from the donations we will be sending to the community. I'll keep you posted so the members will know the name of local organization that will handle the distribution. |

Pete,
Thanks for your service sir... I served my mission in Tacloban (Leyte and Samar islands) from 90-91. Some of my best memories are of the stories the old-folks would tell me about WWII. At least that generation (and I think most Filipinos) remember the sacrifice US soldiers made.
God bless...

I don't think I would wanna fly thru China Airlines (it's a flying casket)! If you go thru consumer report, this is the worst airline in the world.
Check on Travelocity.com 'cuz they always have good offers especially during August-November. Infact, I checked Philippines Airlines the other day, they can give you a round trip from US$ 950 from SFO. Also, check on Cathay Pacific.
If you're coming from East coast, check Northwest Airlines.. I got mine for less that US$ 1000 from Detroit- Manila via Nagoya (round trip)... |

I'd like to keep in touch to all of my fellow RM's under Pres. Revillo and Pres. Mina. I would love to hear you guys as soon as possible. I'm so happy to have this website. Thanks a lot! |
