I got married to Vanessa May 4, 2005. I worked full-time at Barnes and Noble in Orem as a Newsstand Lead while she finished her degree a BS in Mathematics Education. Vanessa received a job offer to teach 8th grade math outside of Houston, Texas, so I applied to the University of Houston for a Master's program in English. I got accepted and earned a teaching assistantship and fellowship for two years. I'm in my final semester. We do not have children as of yet. I'm hoping to go on for a Ph.D. in English. I love teaching. I've presented at two literary conferences in Louisville and Albuquerque. My wife and I love Texas weather, we may settle here. As far as church callings, I've served as Teacher Improvement Coordinator, Sunday School Presidency (twice), Ward Executive Secretary, Temple Worker (Provo--when I was there), and currently Ward Financial Clerk. My wife has been Primary President, Sunday School Teacher (12-13 year olds), and currently Ward Website Administrator. Starting next school year my wife will be the lead 8th grade math teacher after only her third year teaching. I have had many missionary moments with students and colleagues in the area. It is wonderful to be of service wherever we go. |
