It has been a while since I have updated my profile here...
I Married my wife Robyn, in August 1998 while we attended the University of Utah (go utes!). I graduated in Electrical Engineering and started working as a design engineer for AMIS in Pocatello, ID in May 2001. We have five kids, Maryn July 12, 2001; Kyle, December 20, 2003; Megan, November 13, 2005; David, February 14, 2008; and Olivia, August 13, 2010.
We lost our son Kyle in 2006 when there was was an E-coli outbreak in spinach, where our whole family was infected. Kyle was 2 and a half and wasn't strong enough to fight it off. It was a defining moment for our family, where you question your core beliefs. I'm happy to say that it strengthened our testimony of the Gospel and brought us closer to the Lord. I love him more now than I ever have before.
I have enjoyed serving in Young Men's as an adviser, counselor, or scout master for about 7 years. I have also been the ward choir director in every ward I have been in since my mission (2 times in my current ward) as well as Sunday School President and Elders Quorum Presidency. I am currently in my second installment as the Elder's Quorum President.
I love serving the Lord and his children! Something I picked up in PR and has stayed with me. |
