Quinepas 02 Apr 2003
I was so pleased to see someone post a photo of quinepas! For years, I have been trying to describe this fruit to people -- with little success... Is there any other name for these in the states? Are they only available in PR? (And if memory serves, they were only in season for a couple months in PR...) Do they grow on a bush? A tree?

Supa Fitz 29 Mar 2003
I'm on the lookout for Mista Harris. He be safe mon. Yea yea yea, coolin'. I have a note from him at Ebenezar Gardens and from the Soup Kitcen that reads, "Fine words don't grow food." He also wants a special someone to know that "Jah certainly does love supa fitz every time, mon." P.S. Socks and slippas...

It's been a while 24 Mar 2003
I haven't visited the mission website for a while. It's nice to stop for a minute and think about the mission and all the good (and bad) times I had in Puerto Rico. Although it's only been about 4 years since I finished my mission, when I went back to visit San Juan last year with my family it felt like I was in a dream. It seemed that it all went so fast and that it was like another life I had lived.

If anyone out there is comtemplating returning to San Juan, I recommend it. It brings back that special spirit that is hard to find in the everyday life I live now.

And for any of you who know Angel Villamil, I visited him last year in Orlando and he is doing great and hanging in there. We had a fun time.

Chat Time 24 Mar 2003
Troy: You sugggested the first on-line chat be April 4th at 1:00 P.M. [and 7:00 P.M.] -- but what time zone is that?

Reply from Administrator: Sorry about that. I forget about time zones sometimes. I was thinking Mountain Time for that chat. I'm excited to talk to you then.

Maps 24 Mar 2003
Can anyone recommend a good place to go on-line, to purchase road maps (or other kinds of maps) of PR? I fear my road map, circa 1983, is probably out of date. :-)

Welcome 20 Mar 2003
I just wanted to welcome everyone to the new site. I've been contemplating this change for over 6 months and I'm afraid that during that time I let the old site get backlogged and didn't keep new alumni's and guestbook posts entered in the system. I feel that this change will be good for all of us as it allows all of you to add things like pictures, stories, reunions, etc. Let me know if you have any questions or comments by clicking on the comments page.
