| Comments: Like the Gashlers in Wisconsin, I don't know just what possessed me and caused me to move to Los Angeles, but Teri and I were married shortly after the mission and we lived in LA for close to 5 years, working at a hotel and going to school. (Imagine the guests' surprise when a gangly night auditor at a hotel could give directions to them in Russian.) Once we were done with our schooling, we were out of Dodge! We've been in Phoenix for 3 years now, and love it! I'm in the midst of taking my CPA exams, so it looks like President's decision to move me to the office all those years ago was right on the money ... so to speak. I think often about my mission and all of you with whom I served. Drop me a line if you'd like to catch up, and if you're ever in the southwest, we'll get together for some funeral potatoes - my treat! | |
