| Comments: We've been living here in the capital since 2002. We found the weather in Provo much too pleasant and temperate, so we searched out a place to experience the outrageous extremes of temperature that one finds only in certain latitudes. It is truly glorious. I sport an icy grin every January when the mercury drops to -35. I relish the summer heat and humidity which assault our lungs. Just before winter, we have a local specialty -- icy rain. After a really good dousing of icy rain we can't even get the doors open. If you miss Russian weather, but you have a limited budget, consider visiting Ottawa. It's the best of both worlds. (It also has many redeeming qualities, but those are hardly humourous) | |
