We have lived in Tempe for about 18 years now, have 4 (living) children, (two are married, 4 grandchildren). Our youngest child is 16. Currently serving on Tempe Stake High Council. I was a third-generation missionary to Samoa, my father (Dallace/Misi-Talesi) having served 1938-1940 (transferred to Northwestern states due to WWII), and my grandfather (John--Misi Ioane), having served 1910-1914. I also lived in American Samoa when in the 8th and 9th grades, 1964-1966, where my parents taught school. I have recently been re-reading my old journals and remembered with great fondness my missionary experience, and the love I felt (and still do ) for the Samoan people. I hope to re-connect with some of my missionary associates who served the same time I did. We hope to be able to begin attending the Samoa Mission reunion once in a while. |
