I have received this sad news from the father of one of our current missionaries and wanted to post it here for any that may have served with Elder Allen.
Our son, Elder Matthew Longmore, is currently serving in the Singapore Mission. A friend of our family, Bradley Allen, also served in that mission, from 2001 to 2003. He died in a tragic motorcycle accident last Friday. Some of the former missionaries who served with him would no doubt, wish to become aware of this sad news, so below is his obituary, taken from the Wood Funeral Home website:
AMMON, ID -- Bradley Todd Allen, 26, of Ammon, passed away June 19, 2009 due to injuries he received following a motorcycle accident.
He was born July 12, 1982 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Scott Myron Allen and Dawna Lee Byington Allen. He attended Hillview Elementary School, Sandcreek Middle School, and graduated from Hillcrest High School. He continued his education at Utah State University and Idaho State University.
On March 12, 2004, he married Katie Ann Byron in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Ammon and have two sons: Caleb and Isaac, and are expecting a baby.
Bradley was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served an LDS mission in Singapore. He served in various callings, and was in the Elders Quorum Presidency. He worked as a supervisor in the ISU computer lab.
