Well, right now I'm back at BYU finishing my major in dance and a minor in African studies. I recently returned to Africa to do Dance Research through a BYU Field Study Program, but I, and one other girl, went to Tanzania, East Africa and lived at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro for 2 months in a village with a native family and traveled many places like Zanzibar (island off of Tanzania), Arusha, Mwanza and through Kenya for about a month and a half looking for dance/drumming/singing. I was there from May-August 13 2001. I learned the Swahili language and am trying to begin an African dance club here at good ole BYU. I love the African languages and want to study more to go to other parts of Africa and learn of the culture. Hey, what a great country we served in! Well, that's me!
