The ... reason for this missive is to inform you all of the death of Dolly Ndlovu in early April. Her son, Christian, called to give us the news and asked that we inform Dolly's many friends from the mission. Her large funeral was held in the Dobsonville Chapel. Dolly had suffered from arthritis and had been incapicitated for the past few years. Christian is her only son [by birth], although after Dolly's death he had to arrange another funeral for a half brother--the son of Dolly's husband from another marriage. Christian (he is called Mandla) is a successful electrical engineer in South Africa and has given Dolly three grandchildren, one adopted. Some of you may remember that he received his Master's Degree from Claremont College in ... California and he visited in our home with Dolly when you were all so generous in financing her trip to the U.S. with Julia [Mavimbela]. He is a delightful man. ...
